Westport bike hire, is a family owned and operated business based in the heart of Westport town, on James Street, next to The Great Western Greenway. We stock a large range of bikes suitable for young and old and also cater for those that that are a little unsure about cycling. We stock very comfortable adult trikes so everyone can cycle along the greenway or surrounding areas of Westport, Murrisk, Croagh Patrick and Louisburgh. The fantastic sights of Clew Bay can be seen at ease on our 21 gear bikes and as far afield as the lovely Leenane via Louisburgh and the buzzing town of Clifden.

Our business is situated next to The Great Western Greenway, a 42km long and mostly traffic free cycling and walking route. Along the way which passes through the picturesque towns of Newport Mulranny and Achill Island, you can experience first-hand the beauty that the towns and countryside has to offer; castle’s, abbeys, lakes, mountains, beaches and vast amounts of wildlife. Our Daily Shuttles to Achill leave at 9:30am and 12noon, booking is essential. There are 2 car parks right beside our shop, one on the left and one on the right so you can park securely all day for a small fee.

We now have a 3rd bike hire location at Westport Quay just 2 or 3 minutes walk from Westport Woods hotel. We are open 7 days a week. 10% discount when booked through The Westport Woods hotel. Shuttle bus to Achill daily at 9.20 and 11.50 from our Quay store. Booking is essential.
