Whether you’ve always know that you wanted to get married here in Ireland or whether left the country and are coming back home to say ‘I Do’, we’ve got you covered!. We have an amazing wedding team that are here to help you plan your dream day. There’s a few things we can help with to make everything that little bit easier.

The first box you’ll need to check off your to do list is to get the legal side of things sorted! You have to book an appointment to give notice to the Civil Registrar of Marriage at least three months in advance of the ceremony in order to get a MRF (Marriage Registration Form), but they do accept documentation through the post so make sure you get on top of that pronto! Beat the jetlag and get yourself home a week before the wedding, according to the Marriage Notification Process you need to present yourself to the Civil Registration office at least five days before the wedding takes place. After you’ve sorted the legal side of things, the next thing on your list will probably be choosing your suppliers. Here at Westport Woods, we have dedicated wedding planners to help you plan your wedding. Everything from centerpieces to your seating plan can be organised by our experienced team. We have a full list of trusted suppliers that you can view here. If you would like any recommendations, just let us know, we’re always happy to advise. We know that if you’re living abroad, there’s more than likely a time difference, that’s no problem. We are more than happy to schedule meetings at a time that works for you and we can also set up meetings between you and the suppliers whenever suits you.

If you are unable to attend your complimentary menu and wine tasting evening, we are more than happy for you to choose two friends or family members to attend in your place. This usually happens about 6 weeks before your wedding.

A great way to ensure that you and your suppliers are on the same page when it comes to the theme of your wedding is to create some mood boards with your desired themes, colours and designs. Seeing things visually will help make sure that you end up with the wedding you have been dreaming of.
