Our lavish and comfortable Bench Bar is the ideal place to sit back, relax and enjoy a bite to eat with a drink in hand. The warm and traditional setting provides the perfect casual dining experience for family and friends. Our head chef, Rosario Dias and his team have created an exquisite new Bench Bar menu served from 1pm to 9pm with various specials offered each day using 100% Irish Angus beef, Killary Fjord blue-shell mussels and other local produce, our food is crafted and cooked to perfection.

Our afternoon tea is a must-do experience for Golden Years breaks when staying in Westport with a complimentary tea or coffee on arrival in the Bench Bar. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the woodlands and lake at the back of the hotel as we serve sandwiches and delicacies freshly provided by our highly-trained service staff.

If afternoon tea isn’t for you, help yourself to our delicious savoury dishes including seafood chowder, gourmet sandwiches, or our succulent slow-cooked six-hour lamb shank prepared by our award-winning chefs. We have just what you need to keep you going for the day!

With Live Music performances on selected nights, the Bench Bar is THE place to be in Westport with a lively atmosphere and plenty of fun to be had.

We have introduced outdoor dining by creating a patio in the Bench Bar to make outdoor dining a more comfortable and enjoyable experience for all. The patio is covered with a pergola and we have provided some warm blankets so it can be used whatever the weather!

The Bench Bar is perfect for catering to large groups, couples, and families with kids, and our broad menu caters to all dietary needs so there is something to suit all ages and tastebuds!
